Rare Vintage Black Forest Cuckoo G& H Wall 30-Hour Striking Clock ca. 1880
A A beautiful condition Black Forest wall clock by the firm of G&H with superb condition brass plated movement. Which runs for 30 hours on its chain and weights. The original bellow pipes have been retained with small repairs to tops as shown, normal for age of clock to ensure they function correctly, one bellows replaced as normal. The cuckoo bird in good and original order and fully working, with the two original chains in good order. The clocks strikes the hour and half-an-hour on a gong and cuckoo works very well with excellent sound. The pine and beech wood case well carved and all the carvings and case in fine condition, but with small minor chips, commensurate with the age of the clock. Has recently been cleaned and overhauled, time keeping commensurate with age of the clock. The clock stands 43 cm high, 30 cm wide and 20 cm deep. THE PENDULUM : 100% mint, the clock comes with a new wooden pendulum and two vintage pine-cone type weights.
